Our Programs

The educational programs at Young Achievers Childcare

Lic#103907650 were created with our children’s needs in mind: to mature and develop in a safe yet stimulating environment. Take a look below to learn more about each program.

Math Readiness

Our program is designed to meet the needs of each child. Our daily activities will provide the support and tools necessary for optimal growth. Your child will be able to count from1-20, identify numbers 1-10, identify the basic colors, shapes. They will learn to sort objects by size, shape, and colors. They will also learn the days of   the   week  and months of the year.

Reading Readiness

Reading is the foundation of knowledge. As a way to jumpstart the process, your child will learn to identify upper and lower case letters, trace and print their names, letters and numbers. The children will  enjoy listening to stories, using their imagination and communicate in sentences.

Art Readiness

Your child will explore different art forms such as coloring, painting,  drawing lines and shapes, identifying colors by name, and interpreting pictures.

Social Development

Children will learn to play well together, follow directions, show good manners, share, takes care of materials, work independently, make good use of their time completing assignment, and develop self-confidence.

Music

Music is a very important part of the daycare activities. The children enjoy daily sing-alongs while moving to the beats. They play various  music  instruments  Music and dance fill their little hearts with joy.

Health and Wellness

 Children will learn the importance of being healthy. Your child will learn to brush his/her teeth, know the difference between healthy and unhealthy food, learn to wash his/her hands, learn to put  on their shoes, coats, and how to dress for the weather.

Gross/Fine Motor Skills

Your child will be monitored for their development in two important areas.

Gross Motor Skill:  How well he/she can walk, run, skip, hop, Gallop, leap, how well he/she can catch, bounce, and throw a ball.

Fine Motor Skill: How well the child can hold crayons, pencils, markers.  Your child will practice  extensively using Scissors, assembling basic puzzles, glueing  neatly, completing patterns, and will also learn to button, zip, tie, snap, and lace  according to their age.

Verbal Skill

One of the most difficult problem for us as adults, is to understand what our little ones are trying say when expressing their thoughts.  Our job is to teach them as many words as possible to build their vocabulary. We will help your child speak clearly, pronounce words correctly, and speak in full sentences. Your child will learn to express feelings and ideas with words.

Self-Knowledge

Pre-school age children will be taught to tell and write his/her name, birthday, telephone number, and address.
